Re: Getting Started Help
Excellent... Once you have your signals captured and listed in the Session History table (lower middle of main window), go to the Menu and do a 'Batch Export' for IRremote as follows: Menu->File>Batch Export->IRremote The generated Arduino 'C' code for IRrremote will be available in your clipboard. ...

Re: Recommended IR receivers for Air Conditioners etc
See also our ongoing review of IR receivers suitable for use with Air Conditioners and save a few dollars and lots more in wasted time. ACs usually have very long bitstreams, which some infrared receivers are designed to treat as noise and thus reject them. The review can be found here: http://www.a...

Re: Getting Started Help
NB: This reply applies to 0.9xxxxxx versions only. Baud Rate: you do not need to change anything regarding baud rate, just the following: 1. Load the Arduino sketch provided onto your UNO using the Arduino IDE. Do not change anything in the default sketch when using the Arduino UNO. 2. Connect the U...

SHARP AC / Air Conditioner successful decoding with AnalysIR
Here we have helped a user on the Arduino forum to successfully decode & replay IR signals for a SHARP AC unit, using 'C' code automatically generated by AnalysIR for IRremote.

Re: AC signal troubleshooting (II)
I'm capturing with a TSOP4838 Based on feedback from our users, TSOP4838 is a known Fail for longer AC signals, because it is not designed for that purpose. So you need a different IR Receiver, designed to handle AC signals. I have here an JeeLabs Infrared Plug (http://jeelabs.net/projects/hardware...

Re: Review of IR receivers for Air Conditioners
Last week we raised a query with Vishay technical support and their response was a follows: For applications with air conditioners an IR receiver with AGC4 is a good choice . You could use for example TSOP34438 or TSOP4438 . They are functionally the same, but have a different IC inside. Please be a...
